Flame Retardant Concentrates
For traditional brominated formulas, Ampacet produces copolymer based, brominated flame retardants for use in a variety of resin systems. These are suitable for extrusion coating and other high temperature applications, are non-blooming and exhibit good thermal and UV stability. An additional benefit is that they do not adversely affect sealability in films
Other options include polypropylene based masterbatches that are compatible with polypropylene resins and TPO and provide good thermal stability and resistance to surface blooming.
Black formulas designed for let-down into HDPE for flame resistant tubing, telecom cable, corrugated duct or products that require long-term UV stability are also available.
If you require a non-halogenated flame retardant, Ampacet can offer copolymer based, highly concentrated, non-halogen flame retardants, that are compatible with various resins and may allow some companies to use a single product when previously they may have had to order and inventory two or more concentrates.
