Doreen Becker – Ampacet Sustainability Director
Ampacet, a global masterbatch leader, has named Doreen Becker to the newly-created position of Sustainability Director. Becker joined Ampacet in 2017 as Global Insight & Innovation Senior Manager.
In her new role, Doreen will represent Ampacet’s sustainability initiatives globally, driving the development and execution of sustainability strategy and product innovation for the company. She will work closely with the plastics industry and major organizations involved in the circular economy, recycling and sustainability.

Becker has more than 20 years’ experience in the plastics industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from King’s College and her Master in Fine Arts from New School University. Doreen holds more than 10 international patents and has published a book on the history of color, design and trends for plastics. As part of the Global Insight & Innovation team, she was instrumental in developing strategic initiatives, providing research and insights for color and effects solutions to global OEMs, molders and converters. Becker is the 2019 Chair of the Executive Committee for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Division of Color and Appearance (CAD). CAD is the largest division of SPE, with more than 700 members.
