Doreen Becker, Ampacet Senior Global Insight & Innovation Manager, will serve as the 2019 Chair of the Executive Committee for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Division of Color and Appearance (CAD). CAD is the largest division of SPE, with more than 700 members.
Ms. Becker has been a member of SPE since 1996 and has served on the board since 2000. She has been a member of the executive board for the past three years and is currently chair-elect and elections chair. She frequently gives presentations and keynotes for SPE that are both technical and insightful, on topics ranging from The Coloration of Plastics (1998) to Sustainable Design (Keynote 2018).
Founded in 1942, The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and education for all plastics professionals. Today it is home to more than 20,000 plastics professionals in the United States, and more than 70 countries around the world.
A volunteer committee, SPE CAD board members are nominated by their peers and chosen by election. Members of the board participate in the planning, organization and running of CAD technical programs and activities, as well as offering guidance and advice to other SPE members interested in coloring plastic resins.
