Luxembourg lies at the heart of the European road and rail network and thus provides an easy and uncongested access to the European consumer market and industrial centers. The vast majority of the EU’s GDP can be reached within just 1-2 day’s travel from Luxembourg.

The new distribution Center named “Eurohub” has been built by the company called S.O.L.E.I.L.
which is a joint venture between the SOGARIS Group and Luxembourg’s Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade. The “Eurohub” South logistics park represents 52 hectares and is planned to host in the years to come, three additional buildings dedicated to logistics representing more than 1 million square feet of warehousing space.

The new project not only offers the highest standards for the building but also others advantages including:

  • The creation of approximately 20 jobs in Luxembourg
  • A brand new 25,000 m² state of the art building designed to fit all of Ampacet’s requirements and certified “BREEAM” (BREEAM sets the standards for the best practice in sustainable building design). The new building has 2 weighbridges (entrance & exit), motorized dock doors all equipped with hydraulic levelers and automatic dock seals ensuring high security for loading and unloading, ESFR sprinklers, fire detection and prevention systems, facades and roof insulation (cladding double skin)
  • The advantages of Luxembourg’s rail connectivity to European ports, direct access to the motorway network, proximity to the container terminal, rail sorting center and the railway highway

The new venture will allow Ampacet more reliability and efficiency for its business and will transport thousands of products closer to the point of consumption.

This is a very exciting project for Ampacet; distribution is an essential part of any trading company. It is the physical link between a business and its customer. Consistency, reliability and quality are crucial. The new distribution center will be run by Ampacet employees with logistics outsourced to a 3rd party logistics company which marks a major milestone for Ampacet.

Giuseppe Giusto, Managing Director of Ampacet EMEA, stated: “The new distribution center is our most recent venture which will not only keep us at the forefront of the Masterbatch industry; it will facilitate future growth within our business”.
