Mendoza to lead implementation of recently announced global directional change
Tarrytown, N.Y., July 18, 2018 – Ampacet Corporation, a premier global provider of masterbatch and additive materials, services and solutions, has announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Yves Carette will retire after a 32-year career with the company. He will be succeeded by Vice President, Operations Alvaro Mendoza, effective immediately.
During his tenure as CEO and President, Mr. Carette focused on guiding Ampacet through a directional change. The change – reflected in a new logo, tagline and website introduced in June 2018 – underscored and refreshed the company’s focus on innovation, expansion, global customer support and sustainability. Ampacet expanded support teams to meet the needs of customers globally and developed a sustainability policy for the company, suppliers and employees. Under Mr. Carette’s leadership, Ampacet also sharpened its focus on employee safety, resulting in the lowest number of incidents in the company’s history.
“It has been a privilege to have led Ampacet in a new global direction, which has charted the course for the company’s continued success,” said Mr. Carette. “I am very pleased that Alvaro is coming on board to execute the new direction of the company and look forward to watching the organization thrive.”
Mr. Mendoza joined Ampacet in 1996 as Regional Sales Manager, Latin America. During his 22-year career with the company, Mr. Mendoza has steadily ascended into numerous leadership positions within the company, managing teams throughout the Americas. He was named Vice President, Americas in April 2016, and oversaw Ampacet’s expansion of South American capabilities in Brazil and Argentina. He assumed his most recent role as Vice President, Operations in February 2017.
