After more than 30 years with Ampacet, Mr. Robert “Bob” DeFalco, Ampacet’s President and CEO, has announced that he will be stepping down in the next 10-14 months. Mr. Yves Carette – Executive Vice President – has been chosen to fill this position.

Bob DeFalco joined Ampacet in 1983 as the company’s plant manager at their Mount Vernon, New York site. From that post, Bob continued to broaden his depth of experience within the company through various positions in Sales & Marketing, Customer Service/Logistics and as the Managing Director of Ampacet’s European Operations prior to his current position. As President & CEO, Bob DeFalco was responsible for taking Ampacet from a US company with two European plants to a major international player with 21 plants in 15 countries and sales in excess of USD 1 Billion.

Yves Carette joined Ampacet at its Messancy, Belgium site in 1986 as Finance and Administration Manager. During his career, Yves held numerous key positions within Ampacet throughout the world (Belgium, Luxembourg, the United States, Argentina and Thailand) which included International Finance, Global IT/ERP, General Manager (South America and then in Asia) and Chief Information Officer.

In a brief statement Bob said “It is with great pleasure to announce that Yves was fully endorsed by the Board of Directors and the company’s Management. Yves and I will be working closely together during the transition period to ensure a smooth succession.”
