Frosted and reduced gloss effects for flexible and rigid applications. Frost Effect masterbatches take PET packaging and other clear resins to a new level in a single step during stretch blow molding and thermoforming, eliminating the time and expense of the secondary processing of spraying or dipping. The frosted effect can be varied from translucent to opaque and finishes from high luster to matte.
Ampacet’s Deluster Effect masterbatches are used to reduce gloss or create a matte effect for film and PET ISBM bottle applications. Along with efficient gloss reduction there is a lower loss in physical properties due to the lower loadings required. Films also benefit from anti-blocking properties. For PET bottles, the deluster additive can reduce gloss values.
