Ampacet Foam Concentrates
Ampacet's versatile foam concentrates
can be used in polymeric materials ranging from volume thermoplastics
to specialized engineering resins, as well as in blow molding, injection
molding, sheet and profile extrusion, wire and cable extrusion blown and
cast film and extrusion coating. Foams can reduce density in thick parts
and as a result save you money. They can increase rigidity; small amounts
eliminate sink marks and improve the surface in thick-walled injection
molded parts. Foams improve dielectric properties in cables, provide heat
and sound insulation, and improve acoustics in television and audio equipment.
Foam packaging provides greater impact absorption.
To produce these foam products requires either a physical
or chemical blowing agent.

Foam for all applications
Foams are dispersion of gases in liquids or solids that help reduce
density of a product and serves as a cost-out advantage. Foams can be
rigid, such as polystyrene cups or floating docks; or flexible such as
gift-wrap or pillows.
Advantages of using foam concentrates include:
- A dust-free pellet
provides for a
cleaner environment
- Meter-fed like color
concentrates
- Works without any equipment modifications
- Allows for easy
switching to other non-
foam applications
