Ampacet's research and development group also manages the company's quality system for ISO standards within the same culture of continuous improvement and international standards that our customers operate in. This ensures that our R&D is not merely theory - it's what we practice every day.

Research & Development

Ampacet's world-class Research and Development capability is a key factor in the company's leading position in color and additive masterbatches. But it's how those resources are applied that sets us apart. At Ampacet, R&D activities focus on customer solutions that speed products to market and make processes more efficient.

Ampacet R&D

Ampacet R&D handles both technical services and long-range product developments. Through collaborations, we leverage the market knowledge and experience of our customers, with our sales and our technical service staff. We leverage relationships with suppliers through strategic Research alliances. And we leverage Ampacet's global technical network by sharing best practices and new developments throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Plastics processors turn to Ampacet because they need more than mere formulations. They need a masterbatch partner that possesses the resources to handle the toughest chemical analysis, physical testing, compounding and processing requirements. Does the concentrate offer the optimum let-down ratio? Is the flame retardant properly selected? Is the color matched perfectly? Do you know the dispersion quality of the film?

To ensure that the right technology
is matched to the right processes, Ampacet offers customers a full-range of prototype processing equipment (including blow and injection molding, blown and cast film, extrusion coating, and fiber spinning) for running pre-production product development trials - without interrupting the customer's plant schedules.

Ampacet is committed to new product development and its Global Technical Initiative Committee, with representatives from the Europe, Asia and the Americas, plan innovative product solutions to address market needs. Each new product development is assigned to a "Center of Excellence", where the needed technology resides and is then shared throughout Ampacet globally.
