Ampacet Corporation is a global independent manufacturer and supplier of color, additive concentrates and services for the thermoplastics industry, that is recognized the world over for innovation, quality and consistency.
Primary Function:
Responsible for the development of cloud based applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework. The Software Engineer will be working on data analysis and forecasting applications in an Agile team environment supporting the full software development lifecycle.
Summary of essential job functions:
- The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Develop, document, and maintain applications based on the .NET 4.0 Framework
- Collaborate with users and project stakeholders to perform usability, acceptance, and validation testing
- Provide end-user support for in-house developed solutions
Minimum Requirements (Must Haves) :
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience developing applications using .NET 2/3.X/4.0
- Strong web development experience using ASP.NET, JavaScript and AJAX
- Strong experience with Visual Studio 2008/2010
- Extensive knowledge of relational database programming (Oracle/SQL)
Desirable Experience (Wants):
- Developing with Silverlight 4 using RIA Services and the ADO.NET Entity Framework
- Using Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010
- Developing applications for Microsoft SharePoint 2010
- Developing applications utilizing Microsoft WCF/WPF
- Working in an Agile team environment
This position will be located in Tarrytown, NY at Ampacet Corporate headquarters.Local candidates only please. Relocation is not available with this position.
